The Council of Presidents of the Rajamangala University of Technology (RMUT) system organized a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the nine Rajamangala Universities of Technology (RMUTs) and vocational education institutes. The ceremony was attended by Mr.Yospol Wenu-Koset, Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission; Assoc.Prof.Dr.Udomvit Chaisakulkiet, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin and Chair of the Council of RMUT Presidents; Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon; as well as the presidents of the other seven RMUT institutions, including RMUT Thanyaburi, RMUT Bangkok, RMUT Eastern, RMUT Lanna, RMUT Srivijaya, RMUT Suvarnabhumi, and RMUT Isan, along with directors of vocational education institutes. The signing took place at RMUT Phra Nakhon (Bangkok Commercial Campus) on 22 September 2025. The MOU aims to enhance the capabilities and academic strength of vocational education, provide professional academic services, and collaboratively develop curricula, research, academic services, and teaching that align with the needs of employers. It also seeks to drive the credit bank system, including credit transfer mechanisms, allowing students to register across institutions. This initiative opens opportunities for students to continue their studies at RMUT universities. Emphasis is placed on short-term (non-degree) programs and lifelong learning, which are considered essential for elevating the competencies of the future workforce.
