Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, Acting President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), stated that amid rapid global changes, people are continuously adapting through lifelong learning and self-development. In particular, the new generation increasingly seeks higher education systems that offer greater flexibility and learning models aligned with modern lifestyles and work patterns. As a result, the traditional four-year degree structure may no longer fully meet the needs of today’s students.
These challenges have prompted RMUTP to adapt and redesign its curricula to better reflect real-world demands and the skill requirements of industry. The University has therefore restructured its undergraduate teaching and learning system to provide greater flexibility, enabling students to graduate more quickly within 3.5 years, while maintaining a strong balance between theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice to ensure real-world experience.

In the academic year 2026, RMUTP will pilot six programs. These include the Bachelor of Business Administration in Sustainable Service Business Innovation, offered by the Faculty of Business Administration, which focuses on creating new career pathways in organizational well-being management aligned with future professions. The Faculty of Science and Technology will offer the Bachelor of Science in Statistical Informatics, a collaborative program with industry partners such as the Department of Science Service, emphasizing science, technology, innovation, analytical thinking, and professional competencies to support competitiveness in both domestic and international labor markets. This program adopts a semester system with two semesters per year and provides academic advisors, as well as preparatory and remedial instruction in statistics, mathematics, and computer skills to ensure student readiness and ease the transition for new students.
The Acting President further noted that the Health Technology, Cosmetics, and Anti-Aging program is another newly developed field that has attracted strong interest, addressing the growing health and aging society sector. Students will gain knowledge in natural raw materials, product ingredients, product development, manufacturing technology, and quality control, while also receiving entrepreneurial training. The Faculty of Liberal Arts will offer the Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Service Business, developed in collaboration with leading national organizations such as Dusit Thani Public Company Limited and Centara Hotels and Resorts, providing students with hands-on industry experience across various courses. Students in this program can complete their studies in as little as three years.
Additional programs include Applied Thai Language for Careers and Communication Innovation, which is open to both Thai and international students and aims to produce graduates with strong competencies aligned with contemporary global contexts. The Faculty of Textile Industry and Fashion Design will offer the Bachelor of Technology in Textile Innovation and Technology, focusing on developing professional competencies, analytical thinking, creative expression, and essential skills for today’s workforce.
RMUTP’s curriculum development will continue beyond this phase. In the academic year 2027, the University plans to further expand its offerings. These will include programs under the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, such as Fashion Design and Product Management, Food Service Industry, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, and the Bachelor of Science in Food Technology. The Faculty of Business Administration will expand its Bachelor of Business Administration programs to include Marketing, Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Financial Innovation and Investment.
