Faculty of Home Economics Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon had the honor of being invited by the Secretariat of the Prime Minister to arrange flower decorations for the Royal Banquet celebrating the 72nd birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) on July 28, 2024.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the event. The flower arrangements, which featured a contemporary Thai style under the theme “Tribute to the Greatness of His Majesty,” were meant to reflect profound gratitude for His Majesty’s benevolence and to demonstrate loyalty to the monarchy. The surrounding area of Santi Maitri Building was decorated with yellow flowers, the color representing His Majesty’s birthday, and the design incorporated shapes of golden shower flowers. The use of yellow and gold tones symbolized the country’s prosperity and well-being of its people. The main stage featured the mythical bird “Hong,” known for its beautiful singing and representing nobility and grace, crafted by students and combined with contemporary floral arrangements in Chotiwet style. The design was created by lecturers led by Ajarn Anusorn Jaiton, along with Lecturers from the Applied Home Economics Department, students, and alumni. The decorations were set up from July 27-29, 2024, at the Government House.
