

RMUTP Partners with Networks to Drive “Empowerment Learning Center for Persons with Disabilities” in Thailand’s Deep South
PATTANI – Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with its partner networks, recently visited Pattani Province to monitor the progress of the Joint Learning Center for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in the Southern Border Provinces. This initiative is part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between RMUTP and the Empowerment Development Foundation. The partnership aims to establish a model area for opportunity, fostering lifelong learning, vocational skills, and career development to enhance the quality of life for vulnerable groups and reduce social inequality.
On February 12, 2026, Dr.Putipong Lakachaiworakun Assistant to the President of RMUTP, accompanied by Mr.Ronnakrit Uapipatnakul, University Consultant, and staff from the Student Development Division, conducted a site inspection of the center’s office building construction.
During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the construction progress and toured the facility, which has been purposefully designed to serve as a regional hub for empowering persons with disabilities in the southern border region. The group was warmly welcomed by Air Chief Marshal Worakrit Mukksri, Foundation Consultant, and Air Vice Marshal Pharadon Khumsap, Chairman of the Foundation for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, along with key stakeholders.
