Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Prin Boonkanit, Vice President for Administration, Research and Innovation Development and Dr. Chalakorn Udomraksasakul, Director of the Research and Development Institute, participated in the international academic conference “The Innovation Towards Thailand’s Net-Zero Society to Carbon Neutrality with the EU” in Düsseldorf, Germany, from April 30, 2024 to May 7, 2024. The aim was to enhance the development of human resources and technology in Thailand, with the goal of achieving sustainability and global recognition.
The conference covered three main topics:
- Green transition strategies and policies: Emphasizing strategic planning and implementation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero and ensuring secure access to existing energy resources.
- Financial mechanisms and public-private collaboration: Integrating ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) groups to support economic and financial green transitions.
- Leading sustainability science: Promoting the use of research and innovations related to carbon neutrality and presenting works aligned with EU environmental measures.
During this occasion, the executives visited and learned about technologies from the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and exchanged knowledge with academics and researchers from leading institutions in Germany. RMUTP is committed to presenting and learning for the development of a sustainable Net-Zero society, creating a credible impact by applying innovations for environmental protection and developing human resources with knowledge and understanding of natural resource conservation towards achieving a Net-Zero society in Thailand with zero greenhouse gas emissions.
