On October 21, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., General His Serene Highness Prince Chalermsuk Yugala graciously presented the royal robes, bestowed by His Majesty the King, to the monks for the merit-making ceremony in dedication to His Royal Highness Prince Rapee Pattanasak, Prince of Ratchaburi Direkrit, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth. The ceremony took place at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, Thewet Campus, in Dusit District, Bangkok.
On this occasion, General His Serene Highness Prince Chalermsuk Yugala presided over the worship and celebration ceremony for the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Rapee Pattanasak, Prince of Ratchaburi Direkrit, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth. His Serene Highness placed a floral tribute in reverence, with Phra Dhammawachiraphon serving as the head of the monastic side of the ceremony. The event was attended by M.R. Pronrapee Abhakara, a representative of the Rapeepat family, Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, along with university executives, faculty members, and staff.
Following this, His Serene Highness proceeded to the ceremony hall at D-Hall Auditorium, where he presided over the merit-making ceremony in dedication to His Royal Highness Prince Rapee Pattanasak, Prince of Ratchaburi Direkrit. On this occasion, he presented the royal robes, graciously bestowed by His Majesty the King, to the monks. Additionally, he assigned the university president of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon to offer the traditional offerings (Thai Dharma) and the commemorative fans to 10 monks.
Later, at 11:00 a.m., General His Serene Highness Prince Chalermsuk Yugala graciously presented awards to the winner of the logo design competition, held in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of His Royal Highness Prince Rapee Pattanasak. Additionally, His Serene Highness presented an award to the winner of the media competition held in honor of the 150th anniversary. He also presented commemorative gifts to 31 sponsors who supported the event. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, Thewet Campus, was originally the site of Rapeepat Palace, which belonged to His Royal Highness Prince Rapee Pattanasak, Prince of Ratchaburi Direkrit. The current university administration has a policy to improve the landscape around the statue of His Royal Highness Prince Rapee Pattanasak to allow the public to pay their respects.
