On September 19, 2025, the Division of Arts and Culture, Office of the President, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), organized a commemorative event in honor of His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol, Phra Athamaramathibodin (Rama VIII), on the auspicious occasion of the Centennial Anniversary of His Majesty’s Birth, which falls on September 20, 2025. The ceremony was held at D-Hall Auditorium, Thewet Campus. The event was led by the President of RMUTP, who, together with the university executives, faculty members, staff, and students, participated in the activities to pay tribute to His Majesty. The program commenced with a Buddhist prayer and meditation session dedicated as a royal merit-making act, followed by a tribute ceremony and remembrance of His Majesty’s boundless benevolence.

Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul led the offering of a ceremonial tray with flowers before His Majesty’s portrait and delivered a speech in remembrance of His Majesty’s graciousness. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session to commemorate the occasion.
Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul delivered a tribute in remembrance of His Majesty’s benevolence as follows: “His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol, Phra Athamaramathibodin, was born on September 20, 1925. He was the elder paternal uncle of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. His Majesty graciously assumed the Royal Responsibility of succession to the throne on March 2, 1935, at the tender age of only nine years.
Although His Majesty’s reign lasted only twelve years and coincided with a period of global war, His Majesty remained a guiding light and source of solace for the Thai people. In 1945, when the nation was facing internal division, His Majesty made a royal visit to meet with Thai and Chinese communities at Sampheng, graciously fostering reconciliation and restoring harmony between the two ethnic groups.
Though His Majesty has since ascended to heaven, His boundless benevolence continues to resonate in the hearts of all Thai people. On this auspicious occasion of the Centennial Anniversary of His Majesty’s Birth, we humbly seek Royal Permission to dedicate today’s collective meditation and prayers as a meritorious tribute, in deepest gratitude and remembrance of His Majesty’s everlasting grace.”
