On November 6, 2024, Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), presided over the opening ceremony of the Breast Cancer Screening Project. The project, which utilized a mobile mammography unit, targeted at-risk and underprivileged women and was held to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024. The event was attended by Dr.Somyos Deerasamee, Chairman of the Kanchanabaramee Foundation.
This project aimed to honor His Majesty the King and raise awareness about breast cancer risk factors, symptoms, treatments, and self-examination techniques. It also included mammogram screenings for women with risk factors for breast cancer. Additionally, donations were welcomed to support the ongoing work of the Kanchanabaramee Foundation.
The initiative was supported by medical personnel, nurses, and public health officers from the Kanchanabaramee Foundation and Public Health Service Center 6, along with public health volunteers. Women and staff from the Dusit, Phra Nakhon, and Pom Prap Sattru Phai districts actively participated in the program. The project was conducted on November 6–7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Ratchaburi Direkrit Building, RMUTP Thewet Campus.
