The Institute of Research and Development Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), organized an OTOP Roadshow to promote knowledge and understanding of OTOP development and enhancement through science, technology, and innovation.
This initiative is part of the Community Product Development Project 2025 and took place on January 22, 2025, at Blue Hippo Hotel, Samut Prakan Province.
Dr.Chalakorn Udomraksasakul, Director of the Director of Institute of Research and Development and event organizer, stated that the OTOP Roadshow provides entrepreneurs and product owners with the opportunity to receive initial consultations from RMUTP faculty on solving production-related issues and introducing ideas for developing and upgrading community products.
The initiative follows a technology transfer and adaptation approach, focusing on six key development areas:
1. Enhancing the quality of raw materials
2. Developing and designing production processes
3. Developing and designing machinery
4. Ensuring product certification and standards
5. Developing and designing packaging
6. Innovating new products
Additionally, Mr.kanid Theerawanich, Mrs.Suwimon Inthasaen, and Ms.Monta Kaihiran, expert committee members from MHESI, provided recommendations for product development concepts. These ideas could be further refined and improved to seek funding support. The event also featured a special lecture on “Entrepreneurial Development and Product Upgrading through Science, Technology, and Innovation.” The session was led by Dr.Chalakorn Udomraksasakul, Director of the Director of Institute of Research and Development, and Asst.Prof Dr.Sirirat Panich, a faculty member from the Faculty of Science and Technology, RMUTP, who shared additional insights and expertise.
