Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) showcased the performance “Jong Priang Sri Ayodhya Thanin” at the 23rd Higher Education Arts and Culture Festival, held under the theme “Celebrating the Prestige of Arts: Twelve Decades of Rajabhat Ayutthaya”. The event brought together over 112 universities from across the country.
The festival featured cultural performances from Thailand’s four regions, demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship, and an art exhibition, taking place from January 29 to 31, 2025, at Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, Ayutthaya Province.
The opening ceremony was attended by Asst. Prof. Sattha Khaengpenkhae, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, along with Ms. Mallika Weerasai Director of Student Development Division, student leaders, and members of the university’s performing arts club.

The performance “Jong Priang Sri Ayodhya Thanin” was inspired by “Jong Priang,” a creative Thai dance by Nonthaburi College of Dramatic Arts, blending traditional movements and music. It reflects Thai heritage, rooted in the Jong Priang ritual from the Ayutthaya period, which later evolved into the Loy Krathong Festival.
