RMUTP Mass Communication Delivers Cultural Tourism Promotion App for Wat Devaraj and Wat Makutkasat

The Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, presented Virtual Reality (VR) media introducing Wat Devaraj Kunchorn Voraviharn and the Golden Teakwood Museum. The VR media was respectfully offered to Phra Dhammavachiraporn, Abbot of Wat Devaraj Kunchorn Voraviharn and Ecclesiastical Regional Governor of Region 13, as well as to Phra Kru Palat Suwattherakhun, Assistant Abbot of Wat Devaraj Kunchorn Voraviharn.

The Virtual Reality (VR) media introducing Wat Devaraj Kunchorn Voraviharn and the VR media presenting the Golden Teakwood Museum were created as part of a special project course. These projects integrate academic learning with arts and culture, aiming to foster cultural awareness and encourage the preservation of art and cultural heritage, while also promoting cultural tourism.

The VR project titled “Virtual Reality Technology Introducing Wat Devaraj Kunchorn Voraviharn” was developed by Mr.Wattanasin Sawangsri and Mr.Phongsathorn Nisamanijaras, fourth-year students from the Multimedia Technology program. The VR media introducing the Golden Teakwood Museum was developed by Ms.Wattaneeporn Srimuang, Ms.Sirikorn Kaewnuea, and Ms.Sasithorn Thiampakdee, students from the Multimedia Design program. The project was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr.Donlaporn Srifa. The project can be viewed                     at: https://mctvr.rmutp.ac.th/goldenteakmuseum/           

In addition, third-year students from the Multimedia Technology program Mr.Charoenchai Tesriburapakun, Mr.Jakkrapat Phetnilsamnuak, Mr.Harit Hutanawin, Mr.Lertphong Kongsukcharoenchai, Ms.Thanaporn Chanthong, Ms.Hathaipat Meesiriphat, Ms.Thanyawan Saengsong, Mr.Chakrit Chimpalee, Ms.Khwanchanok Meesama, and Mr.Nitiphum Wongsa also developed and presented a mobile application introducing Wat Makut Kasattriyaram Ratchaworawiharn. 

The application serves to promote the temple’s Thai architectural and cultural heritage while supporting cultural tourism. This project was part of an integrated learning initiative combining the course Application Design and Development, taught by Asst. Prof. Dr.Nujaree Burirat, with the course Film Editing, taught by Mr.Nattaphon Sumetathikom, both instructors in the Multimedia Technology program.
