Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon has been officially certified for the external quality assurance assessment (2024-2028) at the higher education level by the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (Public Organization) (ONESQA). The certification was approved during the 10th committee meeting of 2024 held on September 20, 2024. The period for which the certification is valid spans five years from the date of approval.
This external quality assurance assessment is conducted in compliance with the National Education Act. The assessment criteria encompass five key aspects, 11 components, and 32 specific issues.
The university’s performance met the quality standards set by ONESQA across all five aspects, as follows:
1.Achievement in Mission Management: The university excels in fulfilling its mission to support the country’s economic and social development. A notable strength is its clear vision to be a university of technological innovation and integration, renowned for its physical development and leveraging the university’s Soft Power to gain recognition through initiatives like Food Festivals, Fashion, and Fighting events. Additionally, the university has established effective internal communication systems, created a unique organizational identity, and branded each faculty with distinctive products.
2.Quality of Graduates (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels): The university’s strength lies in having a council comprised of highly knowledgeable, capable, and experienced experts who uphold governance principles in management. The university is well-equipped with skilled personnel and resources, resulting in successful mission outcomes, especially in graduate employability. The university has also built extensive collaborative networks with various industries.
3.Research Quality: The university promotes and rewards research, innovation, and creative works that align with its context and contribute to national development. This commitment to research excellence has led to national recognition and awards for both students and staff.
4.Impact of Academic Services: The university demonstrates a strong capacity for developing technology and innovation, particularly in improving urban living, food innovation, smart cities, the digital economy, and the aging society. This capability allows the university to fulfill its mission in specialized areas that align with community, societal, and national needs.
5.Internal Quality Assurance: The university maintains a robust internal quality assurance system that operates continuously, involving control, inspection, evaluation, and the use of assessment results to set annual development plans. This continuous improvement is evident in the quality evaluations at the program, faculty/unit, and university levels, showing a consistent positive trend.
