RMUTP and Department of Skill Development Expand Partnership to Establish New Skill Testing Centers

BANGKOK, January 22, 2026 – Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Skill Development (DSD), Ministry of Labour, to advance academic cooperation in labor skill development.

The signing ceremony featured Mr.Samat Patamasukhon, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development, and Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, Acting President of RMUTP. The event was honored by the presence of Mr.Santi Nantasuawan,Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, who presided over the ceremony at the Mongkhon-apa Room, RMUTP Commercial Center.

Strategic Collaboration to Meet Global Demands

Mr. Santi Nantasuwan highlighted that this MOU is a cornerstone of the “RMUTP Job Fair,” symbolizing a powerful synergy to upgrade the Thai workforce for global competition. He emphasized that educational institutions are vital in fostering high-level skills.

Currently, RMUTP operates six Skill Standard Testing Centers in fields such as tailoring, floral arrangement, and Thai cooking (Levels 1 and 2). This new agreement deepens the collaboration across three key pillars:

  1. Modern Curriculum Development: Covering automation, robotics, digital skills, service sectors, and foreign languages.
  2. Educational Integration: Promoting credit transfers through the Credit Bank System and Cooperative Education. Notably, participating establishments can benefit from tax deductions under the Skill Development Promotion Act B.E. 2545.
  3. Expansion of Testing Centers: Adding three specialized technical fields: Mechatronics and Robotics, PLC Controller Technicians, and Industrial Robot Control Technicians.

Ensuring 100% Employability

Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabulreiterated RMUTP’s commitment: “You can study anywhere, but graduating from RMUTP ensures 100% employment.” He explained that the university has robust mechanisms to prepare students and alumni for both domestic and international job markets.

The RMUTP Job Fair provided students with direct access to 56 leading companies, offering over 1,800 job positions. This initiative, supported by the DSD and the Bangkok Employment Office (Area 8), allows students to experience real-world recruitment and interview processes. “By signing this MOU, we are elevating professional competencies to meet industrial demands. We aim to equip our students with high-level skills that keep pace with technological shifts, ultimately strengthening Thailand’s economic competitiveness through advanced training platforms and curricula,” Dr.Natworapol concluded.
