Associate Professor Dr. Songwut Mongkoltham, spoke about the activity aimed at enhancing vehicle safety within the country. He mentioned that an exchange learning event was organized, focusing on testing the braking system, child seats in vehicles, and airbag safety. In addition to these, an activity to assess the quality of motorcycle anti-lock braking systems was also conducted, following the R78 testing standard, involving 7 popular motorcycle models from 4 brands. The test results were immediately available, including demonstrations of the brake system’s performance. This initiative garnered interest from various organizations, including the Department of Land Transport, Institute of Legal Studies, Institute of Preventive Medicine, Department of Disease Control, Safety Research Center for Children, Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), Bangkok Hi-Lab Company Limited, and Smart Simple Solution Company Limited, among others.
