On May 13, 2024, Dr. Kongkiat Maha-in, Assistant to the President for Arts and Culture along with Mr. Sampas Suwanker, Assistant to the President for the Good Governance, Asst. Prof. Chettaya Kitkerdsang, Head of the Arts and Culture Department, and Asst. Prof. Nerisa Chaisupamangkollarp, Head of Communications, visited the Baan Suan community in Chom Thong District, Bangkok. The purpose of the visit was to gather public opinions on the establishment of the Chom Thong Learning Center. The land for this project was donated by Ms. Panadda Suwannanon to preserve green spaces and benefit the public. The university has collaborated with the Federation of Thai Industries to establish the RSPG – RMUTP Coordination Center and partnered with PTT Public Company Limited on the PTT Metroforest Learning Centre.

During this visit, the community expressed support and enthusiasm for the university’s plans to develop the area. The region is a coconut grove with ancient lychee trees, and it is seen as important to jointly conserve it as a green space for Bangkok.
