Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with Thai Smile Bus Co., Ltd. (TSB), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote and develop knowledge, research, technology, and innovation in modern alternative energy vehicles and clean energy transportation systems.


The agreement was officially signed by Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of RMUTP, and Ms.Kulpornphat Wongmajarnpinyo, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Smile Bus Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony took place aboard the Thai Smile Boat, an electric passenger vessel, on July 9, 2026.
Following the ceremony, the RMUTP executive team visited TSB’s facilities to observe their real-time electric bus (e-Bus) Fleet Management system, as well as the company’s comprehensive clean energy public transportation network.


Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of RMUTP, stated that this collaboration will deeply integrate education with the industrial sector. Students will gain hands-on experience alongside the development of applied research and innovations in clean energy vehicles. The partnership focuses on elevating curricula to meet international professional standards, promoting lifelong learning, and utilizing TSB’s vehicles and transit routes as real-world laboratories for data collection and innovation testing. Ms.Kulpornphat Wongmajarnpinyo, CEO of TSB, emphasized that developing the future of transportation relies fundamentally on human capital. “We are opening our organization as a learning space to support internships, research, and practical knowledge transfer, she noted. Our goal is to equip students with real-world insights into the transition toward a digital and low-carbon era, ultimately producing the skilled workforce needed to drive Thailand’s Smart Mobility and create practical innovations for the country.
