On April 17, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) organized a Thai cultural exchange activity and welcome the New Zealand Member of Parliament, New Zealand senior delegates from New Zealand government agencies, and the Education New Zealand executive from New Zealand Embassy.
RMUTP executives, lecturers, and staff provided a warm welcome and led them to visit the exhibition of Thai cultural works, demonstrating Thai traditional perfume-making by the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, including the activity of Rod Nam Dum Hua (a Water-pouring Ceremony), presenting garlands and Pha Khao Ma (loincloth), symbolizing Thailand’s identity to the delegates. Additionally, there were visits to Thewarat Kunchorn Worawiharn Temple and the Golden Teak Museum at Chotiwet Center, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon.
Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, the President of RMUTP, stated that Thailand and New Zealand have had long-standing good relations in various aspects such as economy, society, culture, and education. It can be seen that New Zealand gives priority to education for Thai youth. Language exchange programs focus on developing various skills and enhancing the potential of a large number of students who participate. Therefore, to further strengthen the relationship, an exchange activity to learn about Thai culture and perspectives on education between Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon and educational institutions in New Zealand in the future.”
