1. RMUTP Community Unites in Heartfelt Tribute with Love and Affection

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) organized the 2025 retirement ceremony, “With Love and Affection: RMUTP Bonds”, to honor retiring staff and celebrate their dedicated service. The event featured talks on physical and mental wellbeing for a fulfilling retirement and cybersecurity awareness, followed by the presentation of honorary plaques by President Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude for the retirees’ commitment, sacrifice, and contributions in advancing the university, highlighting their role as inspiring examples for future generations.

2. An Extraordinary Wai Khru Tray with Deep Meanings from Gen Z “Khwannom Wai Khru Ceremony” at RMUTP

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) held its annual Wai Khru and Bai Sri Su Khwan ceremony for the 2025 academic year on August 21, 2025, at Mongkhon Arpha Building, Phranakhon Commercial College Campus. The event, inspired by Southern Thai culture, allowed students to express gratitude and pay respect to their teachers.

3. RMUTP held the “Rapee Memorial Day” event to commemorate the 105th anniversary of Prince Rapee Pattanasak’s passing

On August 7, 2025, Lieutenant General Chainarong Kitrungrojcharoen, Vice President of the University Council, acting on behalf of the President of the University Council of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, together with Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of the University, members of the Rapeepat Royal Family, the President of the Alumni Association, executives, faculty members, staff, and students, participated in the “Preservation of Traditions and Significant Days Project: Activity 8 – Rapee Memorial Day 2025,” commemorating the 105th anniversary of the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Rabi of Ratchaburi, the Father of Thai Law.

4. RMUTP Preserves Buddhist Traditions through the Offering of Lent Candles

On July 9, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nattachote Rugthaicharoencheep, Vice President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), led university executives, faculty members, and staff to participate in the “Preserving Traditions and Important Cultural Days” Project – Activity 6: “RMUTP Upholds Buddhism through the Annual Candle Offering Ceremony 2025.” The ceremony took place at Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. Phra Sriwachirathammaphon, Assistant Abbot of Wat Suthat Thepwararam, presided over the monastic ceremony and received the Buddhist Lent candle. The event was supported by the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, who beautifully decorated the candle with great craftsmanship. Additionally, a donation of 15,851 baht was presented for the maintenance of the temple.

5. RMUTP Preserves Thai Songkran Traditions 2025

On April 10, 2025, Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, presided over the opening of the third activity under the university’s “Tradition and Commemoration Program” “RMUTP Preserves Thai Songkran Traditions 2025”, held under the theme “Joyful Songkran Celebration with Alms in Tiffin Carriers”.

6. RMUTP Honors Thai Arts and Culture with the Performance “Jong Priang Sri Ayodhya Thanin”

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) showcased the performance “Jong Priang Sri Ayodhya Thanin” at the 23rd Higher Education Arts and Culture Festival, held under the theme “Celebrating the Prestige of Arts: Twelve Decades of Rajabhat Ayutthaya”. The event brought together over 112 universities from across the country.

The festival featured cultural performances from Thailand’s four regions, demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship, and an art exhibition, taking place from January 29 to 31, 2025, at Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, Ayutthaya Province.

7. Commemoration of King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) on the 100th Anniversary of His Birth

On September 19, 2025, the Office of Arts and Culture, under the Central Administration Division of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), organized a commemorative ceremony honoring His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol, the Eighth Reign of the Chakri Dynasty, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of His Majesty’s birth (September 20, 2025). The event was held at D-Hall Auditorium, RMUTP Thewet Campus.

The ceremony consisted of a chanting and meditation session dedicated to the royal merit. Following this, a tribute and remembrance ceremony was conducted. Dr. Natthaworaphon Ratchasirivatcharabul led the offering of a floral tribute before the royal portrait and delivered a speech in remembrance of His Majesty’s boundless benevolence. The event concluded with a group photo session.

8. Thai National Flag Day Commemoration Activities

Every year on September 28, Thailand celebrates Thai National Flag Day, a date that commemorates the royal bestowal of the national tricolor flag (Thong Trairong) by King Vajiravudh (King Rama VI). To honor this occasion, the Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister organizes the week-long activity “Trirong Flag, Preserve Thailand”, aimed at instilling a sense of national pride and remembrance of the King’s benevolence in granting the national flag that remains a symbol of unity and identity today.

As part of this initiative, a special lecture was held on the history of the Thai national flag, including the rules and protocols for its use, hoisting, display, presentation, and proper respect. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Phrueatthiphon Prachumphol, Director of the Thai National Flag Museum.

9. The Queen Mother’s Birthday Anniversary on August 12, 2025

Dr. Natthaworaphon Ratchasiriwatcharabul, the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), together with the university’s executives and staff, participated in the chanting ceremony and alms-offering to monks as a royal merit-making event on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s Birthday Anniversary on August 12, 2025.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, acting on behalf of the Prime Minister. The event was also attended by Cabinet members, high-ranking government officials, military personnel, police officers, representatives from universities, and members of the public, reflecting a strong sense of unity and reverence for the Queen Mother’s enduring contributions to the nation.

10. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon joins the tribute ceremony commemorating the birthday anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Suriya Prayoorrabandh, the Prince of Chaiyasri Suriwongse

On July 29, 2025, Dr. Kongkiat Mahain, Assistant to the President for Arts and Culture of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), represented the university in the tribute ceremony commemorating the birthday anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Suriya Prayoorrabandh, the Prince of Chaiyasri Suriwongse for the year 2025, held at the Department of Provincial Administration (Wang Chaiya).

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chaiyawat Chuntirapong, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, along with Mrs. Kanya Chuntirapong, President of the Department’s Housewives Association, who jointly led the tribute offerings.

11. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon organized a royal celebration in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary

On July 25, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon organized the “Preserving Traditions and Commemorating Important Days” Project – Activity 7: Celebrating the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King. The event was held in honor of the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday on July 28, 2025.

Dr. Natthaworaphon Ratchasiriwatcharabul, the President of the University, along with executives, faculty members, staff, and students participated in the ceremony to offer their well-wishes at D-Hall Auditorium, Thewet Campus.

1. Auspicious Chinese New Year Festival: Tracing the Cultural Heritage of Thewet Community

On January 27, 2025, Dr. Kongkiat Mahain, Assistant to the President for Arts and Culture at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), presided over the opening of the Chinese New Year Festival 2025 under the theme “Auspicious Chinese New Year: Tracing the Cultural Heritage of Thewet Community.” The event took place at D-Hall, Thewet Campus, and was organized by the Arts, Culture, and Environment Club under the Student Organization. Its objective was to encourage student participation in preserving arts, culture, and traditions within a multicultural society of diverse ethnicities and languages, thereby fostering the continuation and conservation of cultural heritage.

The activities included a sacred worship ceremony, a lion dance performance, and a cultural walking tour to explore key community shrines in the Thewet area. The tour featured visits to Chao Mae Sai Thong Shrine (Thewarat Market), Chao Pho Lao Lek Shrine (Thewet Market), Pun Tao Kong Shrine (Soi Lan Luang 13), and Chao Mae Tubtim Shrine (Chan Prawit Market). Special lectures were delivered by distinguished speakers from the Office of Literature and History, Fine Arts Department—Mr. Iayakup Thanabat, Senior Expert in Philology, and Mr. Chaisit Pananwang, Expert in Philology— who provided cultural insights and historical knowledge

2. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon honored Thai arts and culture with a special performance titled “Jong Priang Sri Ayothaya Thanin.”

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) presented the performance “Jong Priang Sri Ayothaya Thanin” at the 23rd Higher Education Arts and Culture Festival, held under the theme “Yoyos Sippasin Narutya Phiphat: Twelve Decades of Rajabhat Ayutthaya.” The event brought together over 112 universities from across the country and featured performances representing the four regions of Thailand, demonstrations of local wisdom, and fine arts exhibitions. It took place from January 29–31, 2025, at Rajabhat University of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya Province.

The opening ceremony was attended by Asst. Prof. Srattha Kaengphenkae, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, along with Ms. Mallika Weerasai, Director of the Student Development Division, student leaders, and members of the Performing Arts Club.

3. RMUTP students provided vehicle inspection services to help reduce PM2.5 pollution.

The Automotive Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), organized the volunteer project “Rajamangala Cares: Motorcycle Maintenance to Reduce PM2.5.” The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattapong Phantthuna, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who also led vocational certificate (Vocational Diploma) students in providing motorcycle inspection services covering 16 items, along with oil changes, engine maintenance, brake system checks, and drive system servicing.

The services were offered to students, staff, and the general public who own motorcycles with an engine size not exceeding 150 cc. This initiative allowed students to apply their classroom knowledge and skills in practice while also helping to reduce PM2.5 emissions at the source.

The project was held from February 10–11, 2025, at the Mechanical Engineering Building, North Bangkok Campus, RMUTP.

4. The RMUTP Alumni Association, together with Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, organized a One Day Trip: Mangrove Conservation with RMUTP.

On March 29, 2025, the Alumni Association of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with RMUTP, organized the social responsibility activity “Mangrove Conservation with RMUTP.” The event was led by Dr. Nattaworaphon Ratchasirivacharabul, President of RMUTP; Asst. Prof. Kamol Promlawwan, President of the Alumni Association; association committee members; university executives; students; and Ms. Chanida Pathan, Secretary of the Phranakhon Commercial College Alumni Association, along with its committee members—totalling 40 participants.

The group carried out mangrove planting, ecological learning, and engagement with the local lifestyle of Ban Khlong Khon Community, Khlong Khon Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Songkhram Province. The activity aimed to restore degraded mangrove areas, conserve ecosystems, mitigate wave impact, and prevent coastal erosion.

5. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon joined in exploring tourism routes to promote local identity and develop creative districts within the Dusit community

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with the Baworn Network—comprising Dusit District Office, Wat Thewaratchakun, members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (Dusit District), representatives from higher education institutions, and local community leaders—conducted a field survey of tourism activity routes on April 20, 2025. Representing RMUTP was Asst. Prof. Srattha Kaengphenkae, Assistant to the President for Special Affairs.

The initiative aims to drive projects and activities under the Creative District Development Program, strengthening community sustainability, promoting local identity, and stimulating the economy within Dusit District, Bangkok. This is carried out under the slogan “Walking Leisurely, Floating Along the River, Admiring Dusit’s Treasures.”

Dusit District is one of 30 districts in Bangkok selected and funded by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to implement creative district development projects that boost the city’s economy and foster sustainable community and social development

6. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon joined the Thai Songkran Festival 2025 organized by the Dusit District Office.

Asst. Prof. Srattha Kaengphenkae, Assistant to the President for Special Affairs at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), together with university staff, the Student Council, and the Student Organization, participated in the Thai Songkran Festival 2025 organized by the Dusit District Office, Bangkok.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Tienchai Wongsuwan, Director of Dusit District, along with Mr. Paramet Wittyarakson (Member of Parliament, District 1), Mr. Siripong Limpichai (Bangkok Metropolitan Council Member, Dusit District), Mr. Sorrathep Rojpojjanaruch (Chairman of the Dusit District Development Participation Committee), and Ms. Sasilak Pojananon (Marketing Manager of Supreme Complex Mall).

The event aimed to preserve Thailand’s unique and valuable cultural heritage and featured activities such as the procession of Phra Phuttha Chin Si Dusit, Buddhist chanting by nine monks, offering of alms and lunch to monks, a merit-making ceremony for the deceased, and the traditional water-pouring ceremony to pay respect to elders.

7. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon supported the event “Delicious Food, Eat Often in Dusit District.”

On May 15, 2025, Asst. Prof. Srattha Kaengphenkae, Assistant to the President for Special Affairs at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in his capacity as a member of the Bangkok District Development Participation Committee (Dusit District), led faculty and students to attend the opening ceremony of the project “Delicious Food, Eat Often in Dusit District.”

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Torsak Chotimongkol, Chief Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok, at Supreme Mall, Samsen Road, Dusit District. The event, held from May 15–17, 2025, was jointly organized by the Dusit District Development Participation Committee, the Dusit District Office, and Supreme Mall, with the aim of promoting the local economy and supporting community entrepreneurs by providing creative spaces to showcase their products.

The event also highlighted traditional and renowned eateries from Ratchawat, Sriyan, and Thewet neighborhoods, featuring both long-standing shops that have been part of the community for decades and new-generation stores blending creativity with tradition, reflecting the unique identity of local life.

Additionally, it served as a platform for students from the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, RMUTP, and the School of Culinary Arts, Suan Dusit University, to demonstrate their culinary skills and operate food stalls at the fair.

8. The Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, organized a motorcycle inspection service activity.

On June 20, 2025, the Automotive Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with Valvoline (Thailand) Co., Ltd., organized the project “Enhancing Automotive Maintenance Skills and Understanding of Engine Lubricants.” The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Weerayut Khunrattanasiri, Assistant Dean for Administration, Faculty of Engineering.

The project aimed to strengthen students’ professional expertise by enhancing their practical skills in automotive maintenance, while also cultivating a spirit of volunteerism and social contribution among both vocational certificate and undergraduate students. The event took place at the Faculty of Engineering, North Bangkok Campus.

In the afternoon session, free motorcycle inspection services were provided for motorcycles up to 160 cc, covering 16 check-up items, oil changes, engine maintenance, brake and drive system servicing, and consultation. These services were offered to the general public by vocational certificate students from the Automotive Engineering Program, who applied their classroom knowledge in real practice at the front area of the Faculty of Engineering building.

9. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon co-organized the event “Walking Along the River to Admire Dusit’s Treasures,” featuring Thai culinary arts and cultural performances

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with the Dusit District Office, co-organized the event “Walking Along the River to Admire Dusit’s Treasures” under the concept of a Creative District, aiming to promote cultural tourism and foster collaboration among government agencies, temples, the private sector, educational institutions, and local communities (Baworn model).

The event featured demonstration booths and exhibitions of traditional Thai fragrances by the Faculty of Home Economics Technology, as well as Thai cultural performances by the Performing Arts Club, Student Development Division. In addition, the program included lectures on the history of old communities and royal palaces in the area, cultural tourism knowledge-sharing, and showcases of local lifestyles, cuisine, crafts, historical sculptures, folk arts by community youth, and local product booths from network partners.

The Faculty of Mass Communication Technology documented and live-streamed the activities for public dissemination. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Tienchai Wongsuwan, Director of Dusit District, with Asst. Prof. Srattha Kaengphenkae, Assistant to the President for Special Affairs, representing RMUTP, together with Bangkok Metropolitan representatives.

This collaborative effort sought to enhance local learning and tourism in Bangkok by allowing residents and visitors to experience the unique identity of Dusit District—its history, culture, lifestyle, and valuable local products—while strengthening the community economy.

The event took place on August 3, 2025, at Wat Thewaratchakun Worawihan.

10. Student leaders from Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon participated in activities to learn about and preserve Thai culture.

On July 3, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), in collaboration with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, organized the Thai Cultural Learning and Preservation Activity 2025. The event was part of the Student Activities Network of nine institutions, aimed at enhancing student quality by providing experience, knowledge, morality, and ethics to foster good citizenship.

Students from eight institutions participated in the program, namely: RMUTP, Civil Aviation Training Center, Merchant Marine Training Center, Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Siam University, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok.

The activities included a historical study of Suan Sunandha Palace, demonstrations of royal Thai cuisine, traditional folk games, and Thai sports. The program concluded with a lesson-learned reflection session at the Health and Sports Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

11. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon nurtures young creators to combat drug abuse.

On July 31, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), through the Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Office of Narcotics Control and Suppression, organized a workshop on creative content production via TikTok and awareness training on presenting drug-related issues—particularly methamphetamine—through the platform in a constructive way.

This activity was part of the 15th “To Be Number One” Media Contest, competing for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi, with scholarships worth over 190,000 baht. The workshop took place at the National Library of Thailand, Fine Arts Department.

The initiative focused on building awareness and understanding of the dangers of drug abuse while integrating this knowledge with the use of social media and digital platforms, which are highly engaging and accessible to youth today, thereby making drug prevention communication more effective.

The event featured guest speakers including Mr. Suwan Wongwanich, Senior Policy and Planning Analyst and Director of Area Coordination Division, who provided insights into drug issues (particularly methamphetamine), and Ms. Jirapa Surisuk, content creator and owner of the TikTok channel “Pee Mor Ice – icediry,” who shared her experiences on how to present creative content effectively to engage audiences.

Description: Students from the Marketing Program, Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTP developed a startup product called “LUVEMBER”, an ambience diffuser brand reflecting local Thai wisdom, culture, and botanical diversity. LUVEMBER is an eco-friendly ambience diffuser made from natural Thai essential oils (woods, flowers, fruits, and herbs). It uses coconut oil instead of alcohol as the carrier, making it gentler, reducing allergic reactions, and safer for long-term use. The concept highlights Thai cultural identity and local botanical wisdom while offering a natural alternative to chemical-based room scents.

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) has established dedicated units and offices responsible for coordinating sustainability-related initiatives across all campuses. These organizational structures ensure that sustainability goals are integrated into university policies, operations, teaching, research, and community engagement.

1.Research and Development Institute and Policy and Planning Division

This office serves as the central coordinating body for sustainability initiatives, reporting directly to the university administration. It is responsible for developing sustainability policies, aligning programs with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and monitoring institutional progress. The office also collaborates with faculties, departments, and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.

The Policy and Strategy Subdivision, under the Policy and Planning Division, is responsible for coordinating sustainability efforts across all sectors of the university. Its key roles include overseeing and collecting data related to infrastructure, ensuring that information is accurate and comprehensive for institutional reporting. In addition, the subdivision provides policy guidance and regulatory support to align campus operations with the principles of a Green University.

2.Energy Management Committee

Formed under the university decree, this committee oversees all activities related to energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and greenhouse gas reduction. The committee ensures compliance with national energy management standards and supervises periodic energy audits.

The output includes focus documents and research funding proposals.
  • Implementation: The university allocates funding and resources for research projects that target sustainability topics. Digital grant management systems are used to streamline the application, approval, and tracking of these initiatives. This ensures transparency and accountability, supported by evidence from project reports.
  • Monitoring: RMUTP continuously monitors the progress of research and governance improvement programs. By utilizing research tracking tools, the university can measure publication output, progress milestones, and program compliance. These metrics are updated regularly and recorded in databases and monitoring reports.
  • Evaluation: To assess the quality and societal impact of research, citation analysis tools and peer-review systems are applied. Annual evaluations ensure that outcomes contribute meaningfully to RMUTP’s sustainable development strategy and the national education agenda.
