On August 9, 2026, Dr.Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop titled “The Development of Leaders and Knowledge Transferors in Humanoid Robotics for Higher Education Institutions.” The event was held at Mida Resort Kanchanaburi, Kanchanaburi Province, from August 9 to 11, 2026. Organized by RMUTP in collaboration with Brightminds Corporation Co., Ltd., the workshop was attended by executives, deans, faculty members, and personnel from seven higher education institutions: RMUTP, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and Surat Thani Rajabhat University. The project was organized to enhance knowledge, understanding, and skills in humanoid robotics technology, as well as to prepare higher education institutions to accommodate technological changes and effectively apply this knowledge to teaching, research, and innovation development. The program featured lectures and practical sessions on “Global Trends & Opportunities in Humanoid Robotics,” covering the trends and direction of the humanoid robotics market, opportunities and readiness in Thailand, and human resource development in robotics. Furthermore, participants learned about the Robot Operating System (ROS) and Humanoid SDK, the utilization of simulation software, writing commands to control robots, and the application of systems from simulation to real-world robots. The project aimed to develop the potential of executives and personnel in higher education institutions to become leaders and knowledge transferors in humanoid robotics. It also sought to establish an academic collaboration network to elevate Thailand’s educational, research, and innovation capabilities, ensuring they keep pace with global technological advancements.
