Thewet Campus: Central Administrative and Academic Hub

Situated in the bustling heart of Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, Thewet Campus serves as the primary hub of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP). Nestled among key landmarks, the campus is located near prominent institutions such as the National Library to the north and the Bank of Thailand to the southwest. Other major entities—the Ministry of Education, Government House, Vajira Hospital, and the Metropolitan Police Bureau—are all situated within a 2-kilometer radius.

Thewet Campus hosts the Office of the President, along with key administrative and academic support units, including the Academic Resource and Information Technology Center. It also houses several research and academic institutes, such as the Research and Development Institute, the Language Institute, and the Internal Audit Office. The campus is home to several prominent faculties, including:

  • Faculty of Industrial Education
  • Faculty of Mass Communication Technology
  • College of State Administration

Currently, the main entrance of Thewet Campus is major landscaping enhancements to improve both functionality and aesthetics. This redevelopment project aims to transform the area into an inviting green space, featuring a new monument, carefully designed gardens, shaded seating areas, and pedestrian-friendly walkways. These improvements reflect RMUTP’s continued commitment to sustainability, environmental awareness, and campus beautification, creating a more welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors alike.

Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) operates across five active campuses, each uniquely contributing to the university’s academic mission and community engagement. These campuses are:

  • Thewet Campus (approx. 14,975.22 m²) – Serves as the main administrative center of RMUTP, housing the Office of the President and core administrative units.
  • North Bangkok Campus (approx. 33,651.24 m²) – Known for its specialized engineering and science and technology programs, with well-equipped laboratories and workshops.
  • Chotiwet Campus (approx. 6,398.99 m²) – Focuses on home economics and food science, providing training and research facilities in these specialized fields.
  • Bangkok Commercial Campus (approx. 32,294.11 m²) – Dedicated to business administration, commercial studies, tourism and hospitality management, and language communication. Recent expansion through the acquisition of adjacent buildings—supporting the growth of the International College—is enhancing its academic and infrastructure capacity, especially through the development of the National College.
  • Chom Thong Campus (approx. 50,571.40 m²) – it is being developed as a community learning center with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental initiatives.

Collectively, these campuses span a total area of approximately 137,890.96 square meters, supporting a diverse and integrated academic ecosystem. All campuses are equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and recreational facilities, reflecting RMUTP’s commitment to quality education, innovation, and sustainable campus development.
