Thewet Campus – Main campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
Thewet Campus: Central Administrative and Academic Hub
Located at 399 Samsen Road, Vachira Phayaban Subdistrict, Dusit District, Bangkok, Thewet Campus serves as the principal administrative and academic hub of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP).
Thewet Campus accommodates the Office of the President and key supporting offices, together with major academic and administrative units such as the Academic Resource and Information Technology unit, the Institute of Research and Development, the Language Institute, and the Office of Internal Audit. The campus also hosts three academic entities: the Faculty of Industrial Education, the Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, and the College of State Administration.
Strategically situated in the heart of Bangkok, the campus is surrounded by important public institutions and urban landmarks, including the National Library, the Bank of Thailand, the Ministry of Education, Government House, Vajira Hospital, and the Metropolitan Police Bureau, all of which reinforce its role as a highly accessible and institutionally significant urban campus.
RMUTP has also undertaken landscape improvements at Thewet Campus last year, particularly around the monument plaza of Prince Ratchaburi Direkrit, located near the university frontage. The project includes improvements to the Samsen Road entrance, the monument setting, and the surrounding public space so that the area can function as a more open, respectful, and usable green area for the RMUTP community and the public.
These developments reflect RMUTP’s commitment to improving campus livability, environmental quality, and the visual character of its urban learning environment. By integrating administrative functions, academic services, cultural heritage, and green public space, Thewet Campus continues to serve as a symbolic and functional center of RMUTP’s identity, governance, and sustainable campus development.
